Pima Junior College talented 6-foot-7 rising sophomore forward Kwintin Williams is the top returing junior college prospect in Arizona's ACCAC junior college conference. After a strong freshman season for Pima head coach Brian Peabody, Williams is prepared to have a big sophomore campaign.
After a summer where he raised many eyebrows with his play, Williams recently received a nice honor when his play earned him a Top 20 All-Star performance in this year's JUCO All-American Showcase event in Las Vegas, Nevada during the NCAA recruiting period. There were more than 100 different college coaches in attendance for this year's event, so William's play definitely benefited him a great deal in the event.
Williams advised me that he is currently hearing from numerous junior college programs for his services as a 2017 college prospect, as such schools as Oregon, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Kansas State have each been in contact with him. Williams also advised me that he is in no rush to make a college decision for the future, but rather is focused on his plans still for this fall.
Arizona Preps has learned that Williams has received his official release from Pima Junior College, and is in the process of looking for another junior college program for the fall of 2016.
We will continue to follow the decision by Williams this fall very closely, and bring you any updates as they continue to develop.
