The 2024-2025 Arizona High School boy's basketball season delivered some of the most exciting and dominant individual performances in recent memory. Across the state, elite scorers have stepped up and carried their teams on their backs, delivering incredible offensive numbers while elevating the level of competition in every division.
Headlining this season's list of amazing scorers is 5-foot-10 junior point guard C.J. Williams of American Leadership Academy (Sierra Vista), who put together one of the most explosive scoring seasons in state history - averaging a jaw-dropping 43.2 points per game. His relentless scoring ability has not only made him a fan favorite, but also a must-watch prospect now on the national radar.
Right behind him is Eduprize Prep's stud 6-foot-4 senior guard AJ Thomas (Loyola Marymount signee). Thomas (pictured) averaged an impressive 35.4 points per game. Thomas has been an absolute scoring machine throughout his high school career, and he will certainly look to have a big college playing career playing for Head Coach Stan Johnson next fall. Thomas finished off one of the best ever high school careers in Arizona state history this season.
Sophomore Fulvio Dos Santos, the dynamic scorer from Tri-City Christian Academy in Chandler, averaged 34.8 points per game. His smooth shooting stroke and ability to create offense from anywhere on the floor was a nightmare for defenders across the state all season long.
Prescott High School's superstar senior guard Uriah Tenette (UCSD signee) had one of the best seasons in Arizona history, as he torched his competition every night and became a household name nationally after many of his scoring outbursts, which included an amazing 54-point performance in a head-to-head match-up with one of the nation's top overall prospects, 5-star 6-foot-6 junior guard Alijah Arenas. Tenette was a joy to watch all season long, as he will now be remembered nationally, as well as locally, for a long time. Tenette consistently delivered big-time performances for his team this season, while averaging 29.2 points per game. Tenette’s all-around game and leadership on the court helped Prescott remain competitive in every matchup this season.
Rounding out the top five scorers is 6-foot-2 junior guard Tyson Dobbins from Desert Christian in Tucson, averaged an amazing 28.6 points per game. Dobbins’ advanced offensive skillset made him nearly impossible to stop this season. His consistent and strong production has drawn attention from numerous smaller college programs.
