One of the elite overall individual talents in the state of Arizona, regardless of class, is Phoenix Christian High School's ultra-athletic and skilled guard prospect Tommy Randolph. Randolph is one of the top sleeper prospects in the state, after putting up big numbers throughout his high school career. While soaring under the recruiting radar for some time now, Randolph has received his first scholarship offer from a strong Division-II program in Southern California.
This week, Randolph announced his new offer from Cal State Dominguez Hills University on social media - his first offer to his credit. Cal State Dominguez is a nice first offer for Randolph, especially in this recruiting climate today that is dominated by the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Randolph is worthy of more offers, as he is one of the top individual producers on the basketball court in the West. As a junior last season, As a junior, Randolph averaged eye-popping numbers and was one of the top overall scorers in the state - averaging 25.9 points per/game. He also averaged 22.5 points per/game as a sophomore. Randolph is one of the most difficult players in the state to defend, and he has proven it consistently.
This has been a big summer for Randolph, after he changed club programs several times during the spring. He performed very well in the recent Section 7 Event, which has given rise to his current college recruitment.
Randolph has had to overcome many challenges during his young age, as he lost his mother just two years ago, and has relied heavily on the support of his family and supporters to get to where he is today. Phoenix Christian Head Coach Ben Stryczek absolutely loves him as a player and prospect.
I will continue to follow Randolph's college recruitment closely, and bring you any recruiting updates as they continue to develop for him.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Randolph is a serious athlete with a college-ready body already for himself. He will eventually become a plug-and-play prospect as a result. He is a big-time shooter and scorer of the basketball with excellent range and form on his shot. He stretches the defense consistently, which opens up his ability to score off the dribble. He is a strong finisher in the lane and also has an advanced mid-range game for himself as well. He has very good body control and can play through contact. He is excellent in the open floor, where he is a big-time dunker in transition and goes hard to the rim. He is a strong ball handler and is capable of playing multiple perimeter positions on the court. A versatile offensive performer and prospect that is advanced for his young age.
