Cochise Junior College 6-foot-7 sophomore forward Naje Smith has been selected as the ACCAC's Division-I Player of the Week, after the Spokane, Washington native received the honor for the third time this junior college season. Smith averaged 23.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in two Cochise wins last week.
Pima Junior College 6-foot-5 sophomore guard Rashad Smith (Grand Canyon University signee) receives the Division-II honor, after Pima JC picked up a pair of wins last week. Smith averaged 25 points in both victories, which inluded a 30-point effort in a win over SOuth Mountain JC. Smith also shot an impressive 65% from the field, and averaged 9 assists and 8 rebounds in both victories.
