Pima College 6-foot-4 sophomore guard Max Majerle, a 2021 graduate of Arcadia High School, had an exceptional sophomore season at Pima College, helping lead the program to it's best season in school history. Pima finished with a perfect 18-0 conference record in the ACCAC, and an impressive 35-1 overall mark - establishing itself as one of the premier Division-II junior college programs in America. The Aztecs spent most of the season ranked No. 2 in the national rankings and came within reach of a National Championship. Majerle recently ended his college recruitment and has signed a national letter of intent with North Dakota State University.

A Division-I transfer from Central Michigan, Majerle averaged 14.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game this season, while shooting 49.4% from the field, 37.9% from three-point range, and 82.7% from the free-throw line. His efficiency, toughness, and leadership were vital to Pima’s historic run.

The son of NBA legend Dan Majerle, Max is a bigger shooting guard prospect with a strong physical frame and loads of high-level experience. He possesses a pure left-handed shooting stroke with deep range and is fundamentally sound offensively. He can score at all three levels—stretching the floor with his jumper, hitting mid-range shots off the bounce, and posting up smaller guards when needed.

Majerle’s journey to Pima was filled with valuable experience. After graduating from Arcadia, he spent a post-graduate year at the prestigious Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, before signing with Central Michigan University. As a freshman at CMU, he appeared in 30 games and made 17 starts—impressive for a first-year player at the Division-I level.

This season, Majerle proved he was more than capable of returning to the Division-I level. His shooting ability, physicality, and maturity made him one of the most reliable players in the ACCAC. He was a true veteran presence on a team loaded with talent and helped set the tone for a near-perfect season.

Despite being underrated as a high school prospect, Max Majerle has carved out a big-time role at the college level. With a commitment now to North Dakota State, he is expected to make an immediate impact at the next level. His combination of toughness, experience, and offensive skill should translate well to the Summit League, and the best is still yet to come for the talented Arizona native.

Arizona Preps Scouting Report: Majerle is a bigger shooting guard prospect with a pure left-handed shooting stroke with unlimited range on his shot. He is fundamentally sound offensively, and can score at all (3) levels with a strong physical frame that allows him to compete hard and play very physical. He can stretch the floor and also has a good mid-range game as well that allows him to score effectively in the half-court set. He can post up smaller guards and score nicely around the paint, as needed, while also showing very good versatility as a ball handler and playmaker for his teammates. A strong finisher around the basket and in the open floor. A good overall athlete and a true competitor on both ends of the floor. Majerle is also a strong rebounder from the guard position, and pushes the ball up the floor with the pass.
