The state's level of basketball talent continues to grow as players outside of the state consistently are taking notice of the opportunities available to them at local prep schools in the state. With many more top-rated prospects preparing to announce moves to the state over the next few months, former Clark High School (NV) 6-foot-2, 175-pound sophomore guard Frankie Collins, one of the top 2021 prospects in the West, has announced that he will be attending AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona next fall.
Collins is a highly regarded young prospect that has already received loads of division-I interest and offers for himself very early in the recruiting process.
Currently, Collins has offers from Kansas, New Mexico, Texas Christian, OKlahoma, UNLV, UTEP, Columbia and Eastern Washington. This is a very impressive list of offers for an underclassman prospect, this early in the recruiting process.
Collins averaged 10.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per/game last season for CLark HS - leading the program to a 4A State Championship runner-up finish last season, after falling to Bishop Gorman in the state championship game.
Clark HS (NV) teammate Maxwell Lewis will also join Collins at AZ Compass, as both Nevada prospects will now add to the state's growing talent pool.
