Mesa High School's 6-foot-4 freshman point guard Kyi Kyi Miles has taken the Arizona high school basketball scene by storm. After a tremendous freshman season, where he led his Mesa program to a 6A State Championship runner-up finish, Miles has been named as the MaxPreps Freshman Player of the Year and selected for the MaxPreps Freshman All-American Team. Miles has established himself as one of the most elite young prospects in the country, and an elite national prospect in America's 2028 Class.

His highly anticipated high school career kicked off in dominant fashion, as he led Mesa to the Tournament Championship of the Mesa Fear the Hop Basketball Tournament - earning Tournament Most Valuable Player honors after a big win over Chandler High School in the tournament final. That early momentum set the tone for a spectacular freshman season.

Averaging 19.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, Miles led Mesa all the way to the 6A State Championship game - a remarkable achievement for a freshman. His size, strength, court vision, and scoring ability have drawn attention from scouts and coaches nationwide.

Miles is widely recognized and is regarded by many as the top overall point guard prospect in the country for the 2028 class. His game is polished well beyond his years, combining athleticism with leadership and a high basketball IQ.

Recruiting interest is skyrocketing for Miles, as he has already received Division-I offers from Texas, Stanford, Arizona State, Creighton, Texas Tech, UT-Arlington and the University of San Francisco. It’s only a matter of time before nearly every Division-I program in the country extends an offer.

Miles now joins an elite list of past MaxPreps Freshman Player of the Year winners that includes Marvin Bagley III, LaMelo Ball, Cameron Boozer, Trey Lyles, Onyeka Okongwu and Derrick Queen - names that have gone on to leave a major mark on the game.

The future is bright for Kyi Kyi Miles, and his story is just getting started.

Arizona Preps Scouting Report: Miles is a rare find as he has excellent size as a point guard prospect - standing at 6-4 in heigth with a long, rangy physical frame. He has an excellent handle of the basketball and feel for the game, a lost art among today's players. As a result he makes players around him better with the ball in his hands, and he enjoys making the pass. He is a floor general with the ball and is vocal on the floor, also a nice attribute. He is an exceptional scorer that can score at all (3) levels, with a pure shooting stroke that has nice range on his shot. He will only become much more effective over time in all facets of his game, as he continues to mature and get stronger physically, but he has played up throughout his life and against top-rated competition, which has benefited him a great deal already as a player. Miles lets the game come to him and he does not force the action often. He has command presence on the basketball court. Miles is next in line among young national elite-level prospects, and he is part of a very loaded 2028 Class in the state of Arizona and nationally. Considered as the best PG prospect in America's 2028 Class.
