Chaparral High School's 6-foot-3 junior guard prospect Kenzo Nudo looks to be nearing a college decision for himself. Nudo has developed quickly into one of the top-rated prospects in Arizona's 2015 class.

Arizona's 2015 class of prospects is talented in the state, but seems to be comprised of a lot less overall talented prospects in comparison to this year's 2014 class.  One of the elite prospects in the class that has quickly become one of the hottest 2015 prospects in the state is Chaparral High School's talented 6-foot-4 junior guard Kenzo Nudo.  While hearing from numerous college programs as of late, Nudo seems to like two particular college programs currently in his college recruitment.

Nudo has had a very good spring showing for himself thus far while playing for his club program, the Arizona Power Black - a very loaded and talented group that already has one tournament championship under their belt this spring - the local Southwest Showcase Main Event.  This spring, Nudo has continued his development as a player and proven himself as one of the elite overall prospects in the class.

With numerous college programs now looking to get involved with the talented and sharp-shooting guard prospect, sources close to the Arizona Power program have indicated to me that two schools currently are at the top of the list for the gifted guard prospect.  Santa Clara University and Grand Canyon University look to be in the lead to land Nudo - both very good fits for his advanced skillset.  While it is still unclear as to when Nudo will make his final decision, both college programs look to be at the top of the recruiting list for him.

hile playing on the club circuit with the Arizona Power Black 16U team last club season, Nudo turned in several very strong performances for himself and raised his recruiting stock considerably.

Currently, Nudo also possesses scholarship offers from Northern Colorado, San Francisco, Portland, San Jose State, and Northern Arizona University.  NAU head coach Jack Murphy and his staff decided to jump on him early in the recruiting process, becoming Nudo’s first scholarship offer.  Nudo is also now hearing from many other schools as a result of his progress as a college prospect.

Look for Nudo to continue to raise many more eyebrows this summer, as the offers should begin to pour in for this gifted prospect.  Nudo has worked hard to develop into the player he is today and he is well-deserving of the attention.

Arizona Preps will continue to follow Nudo's college recruitment closely, and bring you any updates as soon as they develop.

Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report:  Nudo is among the best pure shooters of the basketball in the 2015 class.  He has a strong ability to shoot the basketball with unlimited range on his shot, while also possessing a live body that allows him to make plays off the dribble as well.  He is deadly when catching and shooting the basketball, and has also shown a good ability to put the basketball on the floor and make plays as well.  He is a clutch shooter that shoots the basketball with superior confidence and is not afraid to take the big shot for his team – a nice quality.  Nudo is a good ball handler and passer, although he has not shown an ability yet to consisently play the point position for his team – something that he will need to continue to develop over time.  At his size, an ability to play both guard positions will suit him well at the collegiate level.  But he is very capable of playing the position, as needed.  Nudo is a solid defender and has good lateral quickness.  He seems to be working hard in this area of his game and plays with good energy and a great attitude on the floor, and has has good overall work ethic.
