One of the most impressive individual performances in Arizona junior college basketball this season came from Pima Community College stud freshman point guard Isaiah Hill, who was recently honored with two of the conference’s highest accolades. Hill was named as both the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) Division-II Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, recognizing his tremendous impact during his first collegiate season. For a freshman to capture Player of the Year honors in a competitive conference like the ACCAC is a rare accomplishment and speaks volumes about Hill’s talent, maturity, and ability to perform at a high level against experienced competition.

Throughout the season, Hill emerged as a driving force behind Pima Community College’s championship run, consistently delivering strong performances and helping lead the Aztecs to one of the best seasons in conference history - again. Hill’s ability to control the tempo of the game, score when needed, and make plays for his teammates made him one of the most difficult matchups in the conference. Whether attacking the basket, creating opportunities in transition, or knocking down perimeter shots, Hill proved to be a complete offensive threat.

Beyond his scoring ability, Hill also demonstrated outstanding leadership for such a young player. His poise and confidence allowed him to take control of big moments throughout the season, helping guide the Aztecs to numerous key victories on their way to another ACCAC Division-II Championship, and back-to-back undefeated regular seasons, as the program finished 31-0, and has compiled a 66-1 record over the past two seasons.

Hill’s impact extended beyond individual statistics. His presence helped elevate the entire Pima roster, allowing the program to establish itself as the dominant team in the conference this season. The postseason awards further reflected Pima’s remarkable year, as the program captured multiple conference honors including Defensive Player of the Year (Isaac Johnson) and Coach of the Year (Brian Peabody). Hill was also named to the ACCAC All-Region First Team, further cementing his status as one of the top players in the conference.

For Pima Community College, Hill’s breakout freshman season represents not only a major accomplishment for the present, but also an exciting glimpse into the future. Players with Hill’s talent, competitiveness, and basketball instincts often continue to draw attention from four-year college programs as their careers progress. If his first collegiate season is any indication, Isaiah Hill is a name that college basketball programs across the country will continue to hear more about moving forward.

And for the Pima Community College Aztecs, Hill’s historic freshman campaign will go down as one of the most impactful debut seasons in recent ACCAC Division-II history.
