One of the state's premier post prospects is one that very few in the state really know of. While his name is never mentioned among the elite prospects in the state's 2016 class, this young man emerged this summer a great deal - enough to garner numerous division-I scholarship offers. Highland High School's 6-foot-8, 225-pound senior post Tim Fuller became a force in Arizona's 2016 class this club season. As a result, Fuller will soon accept a division-I scholarship this fall and to a very nice level.
Fuller is coming off an excellent junior season for himself. The unheralded post player had a strong season - averaging 17 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per/game. His team struggled to win ball games last season but Fuller was a consistent force inside the painted area of the court.
Fuller would continue his terrific play this spring and summer - enough to gather numerous scholarship offers for himself. What is most impressive for Fuller, is that his recruitment is at a very nice level for him. The skilled post prospect has generated scholarship offers from levels as high as the West Coast Conference. Fuller currently has scholarship offers on the table from Idaho, Portland State, San Francisco and Weber State.
It is still unclear as to what which school is a clear leader at this point, but Fuller will definitely have some nice options for himself to choose from this fall. An excellent accomplishment for an unheralded post prospect that had flown well below the attention of local scouts and media in the state.
Fuller is a big, wide-body post talent that rebounds strong on both ends of the floor and finished strong at the basket. He has good toughness and a nice looking body for a post player. He uses his body nicely and has good overall toughness. He runs the floor very well for his size. He is also a good finisher inside and attacks the basket - getting fouled often in the process and not shying away from physical contact.
Fuller is a good post prospect that actually is the opposite of the standard. While he should be a sleeper prospect, he actually has higher recruitment than what I am accustomed to seeing. An excellent fact for this young man.
Look for Fuller to have an excellent senior season, and also sign a nice division-I scholarship this fall. Also look for Fuller to make a nice splash in my Fall Player Rankings as they continue this week.
