Central Arizona Junior College 6-foot-8 sophomore forward Brandon Rosser was ranked as our #2 overall prospect in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) this season, and, as a result, he saw his share of division-I college recruitment this season. Recently, after mulling over his recruitment options for next fall, Rosser decided on a division-I program in the Northeast Conference.
Rosser has verballed to Wagner University and head coach Bashir Mason and his men's basketball staff. Rosser had many scholarship offers to choose from this spring, but chose Wagner as a result of the tremendous time that the Wagner staff put into recruiting him and evaluating his academic performance.
Rosser is coming off a very good sophomore season - averaging 17.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per/game this season, ranking among the top individual producers in the ACCAC this season. He also shot 53.4% from the field this season.
Rosser still has some work to do in the classroom, and will plan to sign with the program as soon as he is cleared academically by NCAA eligibility standards.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Rosser came back as a sophomore this season and was much bigger and much better as a player - understanding the game much better as well. Rosser is a superb talent and a very nice overall prospect. Our #2 overall ranked prospect in the ACCAC this season. He has very good size and length and a strong overall skill level. He has an ability to score inside and out, but is at his best 15 feet-and-in, where he uses his good footwork and body control to finish plays. A very good offensive rebounder and finisher. Good shotblocker. Runs the floor well. Still floats to the perimeter too often, and will reach his full potential as a player when he embraces the 4 position on the floor - rebounding and scoring from mid-range and not as much from three-point distance. An excellent prospect that could play at a high-major division-I program, but will have his best success for a mid-major program.
