The spring signing period is setting up to be a busy recruiting period for Arizona's top unsigned prospects, as many prospects are still available for the late signing period. AZ Compass Prep 6-foot-6 unsigned senior combo-guard prospect Both Gach is rated by our staff as the top overall unsigned senior prospect in the state's 2018 Class, and the recruitment of Gach is beginning to heat up.
Many schools have waited to get serious for Gach, as they have waited to see if he will qualify academically. After arriving at Compass Prep with some academic issues, Gach's academic performance has improved a great deal and he now looks to qualify academically this spring - making him a very attractive recruiting target for division-I programs across the country.
On Wednesday, Gach received a visit to his school from University of Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak, as Utah looks to be the very interested in the talented guard prospect.
Gach currently has offers on the table for himself from Southern Utah and North Dakota, while Oklahoma, Nebraska, Nevada and Cal State Northridge have each shown strong interest in him, and many more schools are now looking to get involved.
A native of Minnesota, Gach is as skilled a player as there is in the state of Arizona, regardless of class, although he is still soaring under the recruiting radar, while playing exceptionally well this high school season - leading his program to numerous big wins on the season.
Gach's true value on the basketball court cannot be determined, until you see him play in a true game, as he has a high skill level and plays with excellent poise on the court. He allows the game to come to him and plays with an unselfish spirit on the floor.
I will continue to follow his recruitment closely as we enter the late signing period, and bring you updates as they continue to develop.
