The Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) has made their selections for this year’s award recipients for the conference. As a result, Arizona Western’s talented 6-foot-1 sophomore guard AJ Marmolejos capped off a terrific sophomore season in the ACCAC for himself – being selected as the ACCAC Division-I Player of the Year. Chandler-Gilbert’s 6-foot-7 sophomore Andre Harris also had an excellent season himself, as he led Chandler-Gilbert to the Division-II Region Title. The 2023-2024 junior college basketball season for the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) is now winding down, as we prepare to enter the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) Tournament, now that the regular season for the conference has now come to an end. With the conclusion of this year’s regular season, Eastern Arizona is the 2024 Region Division-I Champion, while Chandler-Gilbert is this year’s Division-II Region Champion. How sweet it is, after #10 seed Liberty High School became the lowest seed to ever win a state championship by the AIA, after a nice 69-63 victory over Sandra Day O’Connor High School. The Open Division State Championship game is now set after two exciting semi-final games on Wednesday evening, and the two final teams make a lot of sense.
