One of the top overall performers and prospects in the ACCAC this past junior college season and for the future is Pima Junior College 5-foot-9 freshman guard Cohenj Gonzales. Gonzales transitioned right to the ACCAC this past season, after a strong high school career, and made an immediate impact in the junior college conference, as he helped lead his Pima program to an ACCAC D-II Conference title this past season. For his efforts this season, he was also selected as the ACCAC D-II Freshman of the Year, and an All-ACCAC D-II First Team selection. While Gonzales has definitely become one…

One of the top overall guard prospects in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) this past season has flown well below the recruiting radar, but is worthy of serious recruiting attention. Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s talented 6-foot-2 sophomore guard Justin Fisher had a strong sophomore campaign, while helping lead his Chandler-Gilbert program to a regular season ACCAC Division-II title this season. Fisher is still available for college programs to take a hard look at this spring, as he is a very good sleeper prospect and is simply better than advertised. Fisher was not a big name in the ACCAC this…
While Division-I college coaches are primarily focused on the NCAA Transfer Portal this spring, as they looked to build their rosters for the fall, for those D-I programs that still like high school prospects to build for the future, Pinnacle High School’s very talented and promising 6-foot-7 senior guard/forward Braylon Johnson is worth a very hard look. Johnson is coming off his best high school season to date, and he is one prospect in Arizona’s 2024 Class that is definitely on the rise. An excellent sleeper prospect for college programs to pursue, Johnson is a one prospect that should have some…
With so many unsigned senior prospects still available in the state, make room for Thunderbird High School’s talented 6-foot-5, 180-pound senior Paris Strozier. While I had not personally seen Strozier before, this young man emerged in last weekend’s AZ All-Star Shootout as a definite college prospect that junior college and smaller college programs need to take a hard look immediately. Strozier played for a Thunderbird program that had a strong season in the 4A Division this past season, as the program compiled an impressive 22-7 overall record on the season, and a 9-1 record in the Skyline Region. Thunderbird is…
Cactus High School’s basketball program will never be the same, after the illustrious career of 7-foot, 240-pound senior post Bradey Henige (Cal Baptist signee). Henige put up some of the best overall statistical numbers that we have ever seen in this state or any other state, for that matter. Now headed to Cal Baptist University in the fall, Henige is coming off another amazing season where he ranked among the top overall producers again in the country, and this weekend he capped off his excellent career with an MVP performance at this year’s AZ All-Star Shootout. Henige gave an early…

Eastern Arizona Junior College (26-7, 17-2) was terrific this junior college season as a program, as the program brought a lot of attention to the Arizona Community College Athletic Association (ACCAC), while winning the conference this season. 6-foot-6 sophomore wing Raysean Seamster was regarded by our staff as the top overall prospect in the conference this past season, and after a strong sophomore campaign for himself, and receiving loads of Division-I interest over the past year, Seamster has now made his college decision – giving a verbal pledge to Head Coach KT Turner and his staff @ the University of…
One of my favorite overall prospects in the state of Arizona, and a prospect at the top of the 2025 Class of Arizona prospects is Sandra Day O’Connor High School’s talented and promising 6-foot-8 junior forward Michael Simcoe. Simcoe has had an excellent high school career for himself and, after a serious breakout season this year as a junior, Simcoe is now ready to breakout in his college recruitment, and become one of the more sought after recruiting targets in the West for Division-I programs to pursue this spring and summer. This week, Simcoe received new Division-I offers to his…
The exciting 2nd Annual All-Star Shootout for Arizona high school boys and girls seniors and sophomore juco prospects will be held this weekend @ South Mountain Community College. The girls will kick off this year’s event on Friday, April 12th, while the boy’s all-star games will be held on Saturday, April 13th. Last year’s event was a major success and this year’s event promises to be just as exciting, with the addition of a girls all-star game this year. Participants for this year’s event were selected by the event staff and members of the Board for the event. Arizona Preps’ will…
The time has come in the recruiting process for Millennium High School’s ultra-talented 6-foot-7 sophomore Cameron Holmes, after a terrific sophomore season where he helped lead his high school program to an Open Division State Championship runner-up finish. With the start to the spring club season now well underway, Holmes will become a hot commodity to college programs in pursuit of high top-rated high school prospects. This spring and summer will be a big one for Holmes, his biggest one to date in his young career, as Division-I college programs will begin to turn their focus to the younger 2026…
