One of my favorite overall prospects in Arizona's 2025 Class has been one to watch for some time now, and now college coaches are seriously taking notice of Bella Vista Prep's gifted 6-foot-5 junior guard Jaden Vance. Vance is one of the top overall talents in America's 2025 Class, and his strong performance thus far on the Nike EYBL circuit has proven his unique level of talent and promise for the future. This weekend, Vance was among the top overall individual performers in Session III of the Nike EYBL, and now college coaches are in hot pursuit at landing the versatile and gifted prospect.
Vance is having a strong spring for himself, and he was on full display this weekend in Session III of the Nike EYBL, while playing for his Vegas Elite 17U Nike-sponsored program. Vance showed excellent offensive and defensive versatility throughout the weekend, as he led a talented Vegas Elite team. In a game against New York Renaissance (NY) on Saturday morning, Vance came up big for his team and brought them back in a contest where the team was down 20+ points. While the Rens would hold on for the narrow victory, Vance's ability to create and make shots down the stretch was glaring.
I caught up with Arizona Preps' staff writer and Vegas Elite assistant coach Paul Suber regarding Vance after the game, and he advised me that he is now hearing from many Division-I programs, and that he is certain that numerous college programs will soon offer Vance. Vance is now receiving strong high-major interest, and will look to become one of the hotter prospects in the West, if history is any indication. Suber has been responsible for the development and recruitment of other elite prospects such as Jalen Williams (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Cody Williams (current NBA Draft pick), just to name a couple. Vance looks to be the next prospect in line in Suber's elite stable of prospects.
Currently, Vance holds offers from Montana and Tarleton State, with more offers now on the horizon.
Vance began his career at AZ Compass Prep before landing at Bella Vista Prep. Vance is one of my favorite overall prospects in the state, regardless of class, as I love his skill level and long, rangy physical frame. He has tremendous upside as a player and has unlimited potential for the future. He is a very skilled and lengthy guard prospect with a nice handle and feel for the game. A very good scorer with a slick approach to the game, and is able to weave in and out of the lane with his dribble, and finish strong at the basket. Vance can create scoring opportunities for himself and others, almost at will. He is a very good shooter with range and a quick release. Has a nice mid-range game as well, and pushes the basketball up the floor. He is able to plays fast and has excellent body control. He is also a slick defender with quick hands and feet, and good court anticipation. He also plays with superior confidence on the floor. He is an underrated prospect and has as high of a ceiling as any other prospect in the 2025 Class.
Vance has really helped himself this spring as much as any other prospect that I have observed, and I look forward to seeing great things from him in the future. He was selected as a Top 30 Cream of the Crop All-Star selection in this year's Pangos All-American Preview Camp. Definitely a prospect on the rise and one to watch for the future.
I look forward to watching him the remainder of the spring and summer, and will keep you posted as his college recruitment continues to develop.
