Arizona Preps recently announced our NEW partnership with Zipps Sports Grill in Arizona. The local growing chain of Sports Restaurants has partnered with Arizona Preps to provide awards and scholarship opportunities for Arizona's top boys and girls student-athletes throughout the state each month.
Zipps Sports Grill is one of the state's premier and most popular sports grills, and combines homemade food, friendly service and drinks, with top-notch entertainment in your neighborhood. The chain has (14) different locations in the valley, and we encourage the entire Arizona basketball community to visit their locations today!
Zipps is supporting the Arizona High School basketball community a great deal, as they are working with Arizona Preps to create Player of the Month and Player of the Year awards for boys and girls high school basketball players in the state. The awards are decided by the Arizona Preps' staff, and are mailed each month to the recipients of the award. The awards will include food at the Zipps' locations.
Zipps was also be a major sponsor for this year's 22nd Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase, which was loaded with many of the state's top high school varsity and prep programs.
Our first selections for the award included our selections for Players of the Month (boys and girls) for September. Our staff selected two winners of the monthly award - Hillcrest Prep star 6-foot-10 senior Mike Foster (pictured) and Valley Vista High School's star 5-foot-11 junior Jennah Isai.
Mike Foster is one of the nation's premier talents and already a pro prospect. Foster came to the state of Arizona from Milwaukee, WI, last summer (2019) in fine fashion, and immediately became the state's top overall prospect, previously rated as high as the nation's top overall prospect in America's 2021 Class by numerous services around the nation. Foster is set to have a huge senior season for a very loaded Hillcrest Prep program, and it will be very intriguing to see where this big-time talent lands in the future, as every college program would like to land his services.
Valley Vista High School's gifted 5-foot-11 junior guard/forward Jennah Isai is on the rise nationally. Currently rated among the nation's Top 50 girls prospects, Isai is now generating loads of college interest for herself, as she begins her junior season. Isai is a different prospect with size, an advanced skillset and an aggressive playing style that simply makes her look different than her opposition. She is a unique looking prospect, and backs it up with a flat out ability to ball. Isai is currently rated by ESPN among the elite prospects in America's 2022 Class, and she is just getting started, as she is set to have a huge junior season for herself. Isai should become one of the most decorated girl's basketball prospects in the history of the state of Arizona over time.
