Mesa Mountain View HS 6-foot-10, 225-pound nationally ranked junior post Payton Dastrup is one of many top-rated prospects that will be in participation this weekend at the 14th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase.

The Arizona Preps Fall Showcase has taken place for more than a decade within the state of Arizona, and has produced hundreds of student-athletes that have gone on to play college basketball, both male and female.  This exciting annual event has brought many opportunities to Arizona student-athletes over the past 13 years, and this year will be no different – in fact, this year could be the best ever as this year’s event will be bringing in some of the biggest and best college scouts in the country.

No other event in Arizona will bring the recruitment opportunities for Arizona’s basketball prospects that this year’s 14th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase will, as some of the best basketball scouts on the West Coast will be present at this year’s event on October 27th (boys and girls) at Inspire Courts in Chandler, Arizona.

Arizona Preps is very proud to also announce that national broadcast website's IHIGH.com and Sports Illustrated (SI.com) will both be in attendance for this year's exciting 14th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase, and on both days - for boys and girls, October 27th and 28th.  Both national websites will be filming the games on the day and broadcasting LIVE from the Fall Showcase event to around the world.

IHigh.com provides schools, colleges and other youth related organizations with free web tools and video streaming that connect sports and activities to the premier Global Youth Network.  Students, coaches, alumni, boosters and other supporters can easily connect with other athletes and teams at a local, state and national level to follow local sports statistics, activity schedules, or support their school with on-line commerce and advertising.

In connection with the many top-rated regional and national recruiting experts/scouts that will also be in attendance for this year's exciting event, this year's Fall Showcase will definitely be one not to miss.

Many top-rated basketball scouts will be in attendance for this year’s event, including Frank Burlison (Long Beach Press Telegram), Josh Gershon (ScoutHoops.com, FoxSports), Gerry Freitas (The Hoop Review), Frank Woodford (The Recruit Scoop), Roy White (Rivals.com), Max Ivany (D-I Hoops Report), Ron Coleman (Southwest Showcase, AZGirlsreport.com & Arizona Varsity) and Gregg Rosenberg (Arizona Preps).

This year's field of talent will be loaded for both the boys and girls.  On the boy's side of things, this weekend's event will help many uncommitted prospects in the 2013 class make a name for themselves and improve their recruiting situation heading into the high school season.  A strong performance this week could catapult a prospect to another level in his college recruitment, as the scouts that will be in attendance have access to more than 1,000 colleges across the country.

For the strong 2014 class in Arizona, this week will be an opportunity to improve a national ranking and, for some, even make a case for the McDonald's All-American game next year, as there will be individual scouts with McDonald's votes in attendance.  The event will also help to define the rankings within the 2014 class in the state.  While many have their different beliefs on who the top prospects in the 2014 class are, a strong performance this week will help to determine the player rankings, as we will be releasing our new Fall Player Rankings following the event.

Such top-rated 2014 prospects as Mesa Mountain View's Payton Dastrup, Westview's Andre Adams, Corona Del Sol's Casey Benson, Westwind's Zylan Cheatham and Connor MacDougall (Arizona State commit), Highland's Jake Toolson and Mesa's Isaac Allen will all be in participation this weekend looking for an opportunity to raise their recruiting stock and also their national ranking among the many scouts that will be in attendance for the event.

While many other events claim to bring exposure to Arizona’s student-athletes, the Fall Showcase each year has delivered on this claim.

To be sure that you are not left out you need to register as soon as possible.
