In what most would deem unimaginable, the annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase event (22nd Annual) went on, even through a pandemic. With several precautions being taken, it went on successfully. Below are some of the top prospects I witnessed from the event . . .
Jordan Redmon 6 ft 2, 2021, PG, Apache Junction
Jordan showcased nice athleticism. He is capable of scoring around the rim with strong driving finishes and is capable of scoring from the mid-range off the dribble.
Kobe Mott, 6 ft, 2021, Combo Guard, Ben Franklin
Kobe is a score first guard with a nice jump shot. He is able to create his own shot and can knock down jumpers from all three levels.
Zach Zambrano, 5 ft 9, 2024, PG, Ben Franklin
Zach is a tough guard who excels at getting his team in their sets. He is constantly making plays for his teammates.
Malik Payton, 6 ft 0,2021, PG, Florence
Malik showcased great point guard abilities and sis a great leader on both ends of the court. He is constantly talking on defense and he is at his best when driving to the lane to finish or create for others. Athletically he can finish over the top of the defense and even tried to dunk on a few defenders.
Eddie Chapple, 6 ft 2, 2021 Combo Guard, Florence
Eddie is a long combo guard that can knock down shots of the catch. When he is attacking the rim, he is very crafty. He has the uncanny ability to dodge defenders and make tough layups.
Devontez Cobbs, 6 ft 3, 2022, SG, Eduprize
Devontez (pictured right) continues to be a terror in transition. He more than excels on the break because of his God gifted athletic ability he is a blur in transition. Locks up defensively. He also has improved spot up shooter who continues to get better at all aspects of his game.
Justus Jackson, 6 ft 0, 2921, PG, 2021, Eduprize
Justus showed his explosive scoring ability from all three levels. He plays with great pace and can finish over bigger opponents. Seems to have put in a few pounds of muscle in preparation of his season in the Grind Session
Jayden Peak, 6ft6, Forward, 2021, Eduprize
Jayden is a long athletic forward. He has great hands, runs the floor really well and rebounds at a high level.
Jorge Ochoa, 6 Ft 6, Power Forward, 2022, Eduprize
Jorge is a great mid post scoring forward. Has the ability to stretch the defense. He also has good athleticism and can finish on the block or when driving to the rim and rebounds at a high level.
Julian Roberts, 6 Ft 7, Power Forward, 2022, Glenview Prep
Julian continues to show his versatility. He is a long big who can stretch the floor, change shots and effect the game in multiple ways. He is a knockdown shooter from the perimeter and changes shots at the rim.
Jaleon Israel, 6 Ft 2, PG, 2021, Glenview Prep
Jaleon plays very fast and consistently makes the right basketball play. He has a great vision and makes the game very easy for his teammates.
Andrew Fitzgerald 5 Ft 11, PG 2021, PHH Black
Andrew showed great slashing ability finishes very strong with his Dominant Hand Is adept at drawing contact to get to the free throw line.
JJ White, 6 ft 3, SG, 2021, Ironwood HS
Play with an extremely high IQ and always makes the best basketball play on both ends of the court. He is a true a knockdown long-range shoot who defenders shouldn’t dare leave. He also showed the ability to create his own shot
Bailon Black, 6 ft 4, PG, 2021 Ironwood HS (Northern Colorado commit)
Already a great player he showed increased strength and athleticism. He has the capability to excel at either guard position where he does a good job of knocking down shots and attacking the rim.
Colin Carey, 6 Ft 6, Forward, 2021 Sunrise Mountain HS
Colin has tremendous size and skill. He is capable of scoring on all three levels and is a tough shot maker. He has a great frame that allows him to be a strong rebounder, and is skilled enough to immediately push the ball in transition.
Demetrus Johnson, 6 ft 0, PG,2021 San Tan Charter
Demetrus is a true point guard who thrives in pick-and-roll situations. Is a creative passer who spoon feeds his teammates easy buckets.
Blessing Nwotite, 6 ft 2, Combo Guard, 2022, Paradise Honors
Has an increased role on his team and embraces it well. He can lock up defensively and offensively he shows improved athleticism when attacking the rim.
Jalen Scott, 6 ft 4, PG, 2021, Paradise Honors (Colorado State commit)
The game continues to come natural to Jalen. He makes tough plays look very easy and continues to create for his teammates. He has a sweet jump shot and seemingly scores when he wants to.
Wyatt Bell, 6 Ft 1, Combo Guard,2021, Paradise Honors
Wyatt is a Long range sniper who has a quick release. He is a deadeye shooter off the catch or the dribble and continues to improve athletically.
Marcus Coleman, 5 Ft 11, Combo Guard, 2022, Pueblo High School
Only knows one way to play and that’s hard. Does all the little things a coach wants takes charges, gets loose balls and attacks the rim. He provided the energy for his Pueblo squad and energizes his teammates with his infectious personality.
Armari Carraway 5 ft 11, PG, 2023, Pueblo High School
Armari is a lighting quick guard that gets in the paint at will. Once in the paint he can finish with floater or dishing it off to his teammates. He is very crafty with the ball in his hand and can dominate a game at his small size. He is a prospect to keep a eye on.
Zach Morgan 6 ft 9, C, 2021, Pueblo High School
Zach is a huge kid with tons of potential. He has good length and can does a good job scoring over the left shoulder. He is a good rebounder who positions himself well early, can finish lob passes and is a amazing screen setter.
Jamison Kay, 6 ft 5, SG, 2021, Gila Ridge High School
Jamison is a Long athlete who is great on both ends of the ball. Offensively he has a number of tools to score the ball but he thrives with attacking the rim and finishing over the defense. Defensively he lives in the pacing lane and causes havoc for the opposing offense.
CJ Wiggins, 6 ft 2, SG, 2021, Gila Ridge High School
CJ is a silky-smooth lefty who is a great jump shooter. He is very smooth when attacking the rims and is quite athletic when finishing. Defensively he uses his length to bother smaller guards.
Tanner Crawford, 6 ft 7, 2021, Mesa HS
Tanner is a athletic big who can run the floor and finishes extremely well around the rim. He has a great feel for positioning himself for offensive rebounds. Defensively his length is a problem for other big men on the high school level. He can block and change a lot of shots in the paint.
Steven Cervantes, 5 ft 11, 2021, Mesa HS
Steven is a a natural scorer who shoots with range. He is capable of scoring quickly and in bunches. One thing he does well is picking his spots to score and to facilitate to his teammates. He is in shape to have a huge season.
Demarion Pouncil, 6 ft 7, 2022, South Mountain HS
Demarion is extremely long and is gifted at timing block shots. He had an incredible 4 blocks on the first ten Possessions of the game. He is an elite athlete and runs the floor like a guard on the break and has tons of potential.
Isaiah Freeney, 6 ft 2, 2021, South Mountain HS (New York University commit)
Isaiah plays with great pace in pick in roll situations and can punish defenders for going under with his jump shot. When creating for others he has the ability to be very creative with his passes and consistently makes his teammates better.
LJ Ginnis, 5 ft 11, 2022, South Mountain HS
LJ is the definition of a pesky defender who has extremely quick hands. Offensively he is a blur who gets to the rim when he wants. His driving skills allows him to easily create for his teammates and put the defense in a bind.
Shay Cane, 6 ft 5, 2021, Desert Edge
Shay is a big wing who can guard multiple positions. He is aggressive when going to his right hand and has great length to be disruptive in the defensive end,.
Adam Njie Jr, 6 ft 2, Combo Guard, 2024, Eduprize CAA
Adam is a guard who plays with great pace and deception when attacking the rim. Consistently makes highlight plays when finishing and showed he can knock down jumpers off the dribble.

Hammad is a super shifty guard who is always on the attack. He Can finish in the lane amongst the trees with great body control and can create for his teammates.
