In the current recruiting landscape, high school seniors face more challenges than ever before. With the NCAA Transfer Portal overflowing with thousands of college players seeking new opportunities, many high school prospects are being overlooked, despite their talent, work ethic and upside. Arizona is no exception. Across the state, there are numerous unsigned seniors who still deserve serious college attention.  Eduprize Prep's 6-foot-8 unsigned senior forward André Thomas has been a pivotal force for Eduprize Prep throughout his high school career. Throughout the 2024–2025 season, Thomas showcased his versatility, contributing significantly to Eduprize Prep’s remarkable 32-1 record and their triumph for the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) Open Division State Championship.

Thomas’s journey to prominence has been long and his standout performances for Peak Basketball Academy during the previous spring and summer (2024). His exceptional play caught the attention of numerous college programs, culminating in a previous Division-I offer from Northern Arizona University.

On the court, Thomas exhibits a unique blend of size and skill. His ability to function both as a stretch four-man and a perimeter player, makes him a matchup nightmare for opponents. Offensively, he can score inside and out, with a reliable mid-range game that thrives in half-court sets. Defensively, his length and agility allow him to guard multiple positions, block and alter shots and rebound beyond his immediate area.

Despite his talents, Thomas remains an unheralded prospect. His quiet demeanor and relentless work ethic have kept him under the radar, but those qualities, combined with his on-court prowess, suggest a high ceiling at the collegiate level.

Currently, Arizona Preps has learned that Thomas is receiving strong interest from such Division-I college programs as Northern Colorado. I would expect numerous other college programs to begin to pursue him as more college programs turn away from simply recruiting the NCAA Transfer Portal late this spring.

As the recruitment season progresses, Thomas stands out as a valuable addition for a college program seeking a versatile and dedicated player. Thomas is a Division-I level talent that is worthy of recruitment at any level. His best basketball is undoubtedly ahead of him, and his continued development promises to make a significant impact wherever he lands.

I will continue to follow his college recruitment closely, and bring you any more recruiting updates for him as they continue to develop.
