With the official start to the 2024-2025 high school basketball season now underway, it is now also the start to the very highly anticipated high school basketball career of Williams Field High School's superstar 6-foot-4 freshman guard Adan Diggs. Diggs is one of the hottest young prospects in the country, and he made a national name for himself before he ever entered high school. The 2028 Class across America is absolutely loaded with talented prospects, and Diggs has been at the top of the list of prospects in the class for some time. His decision to attend Williams Field High School last spring, surely took the state by storm. The Williams Field program is loaded with college prospects now, and Diggs is at the center of attention for a team that will now compete for a 6A State Championship this season, and also look to challenge for the Open Division State Championship as well.
Diggs changed the game when he decided to opt out of going to a national prep school, and took his talents instead to an AIA-based high school program that did not have a rich basketball tradition. Diggs and his camp chose to make their own basketball tradition at the school, and after Diggs chose to go to Williams Field, soon other top-rated prospects would follow him. The program is now loaded with talent and looks completely different as a program, from just last season. Diggs and his Williams Field teammates are serious, and have become one of the state's most talented and athletic teams. With Diggs, the basketball prospect ever in the school's young history, as the young leader for this team, hopes are very high for this program.
Diggs is a sure-fire future elite high-major Division-I talent and his future looks to be extremely bright. Diggs currently has Division-I offers already to his credit from the LSU, Maryland, Creighton, Oregon, Arizona State, Cal, Washington, West Virginia and UMASS, with a large number of offers expected over time.
Diggs is already on another level and, like his friend Kyi Kyi Miles, he is just starting his historic high school career. Diggs has received loads of national attention already, as he has torched his competition with many strong individual exploits on the basketball court. While it is still very early in the young career of Diggs, he is currently regarded among the nation's elite prospects in the 2028 Class, and is even regarded some national scouting services as the top overall prospect in the class nationally - an amazing honor for a top-rated young Arizona prospect. The sky is the limit for Diggs, who played last season for an Inspire Prep Academy program. The first-year team and program of it's kind, Inspire Prep Academy and Michael Clark (AZ FINEST Mixtape) featured some of the nation's top prospects for the 2028 Class, and competed against other top-rated prep programs. Diggs continued to flourish.
Diggs and his Williams Field teammates began their season on Friday evening, with a big 77-38 blowout win over Westwood High School. Diggs began his high school career with a monstrous two-handed dunk on the break over a defender in transition. The dunk was very impressive and showed that Adan Diggs is now here and has arrived in Arizona high school basketball.
I look forward to following the college recruitment and play of Adan Diggs as a player and college prospect over time, and am excited to watch him this season, as we begin a new era in Arizona high school basketball, with this loaded 2028 class of young prospects.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Adan Diggs is highly regarded among the nation's top scouting services as one of the top 2028 prospects in the land. Diggs has dominated his competition for years now, regardless of the level he has played against, and is on pace to become a household name among Arizona basketball enthusiasts and also college coaches very soon. Diggs is an ultra-athletic prospect with an advanced feel for the game at such an early age. He is a highlight reel dunker, similar to NBA star Jalen Green. He has a high skill level that allows him to score the basketball at a high rate. He has a nice shooting stroke with range from the perimeter, and also has developed a very good mid-range game for himself as well. He is very difficult to defend for opposing defenders, as he plays with a love for the game and also plays with excellent energy and a motor, that allows him to make plays at a high rate on the court. A very confident performer that expects the best from himself and his teammates, and has no fear on the court.
