The 2024-2025 junior college basketball season is in full swing, as we have entered conference play now in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC). Eastern Arizona (13-1, 5-0) has won (10) games in a row, and is undefeated in the conference - leading the ACCAC Division-I standings. Pima (12-0, 5-0) is also undefeated in conference play and leads the ACCAC Division-II standings. Pima has won (12) games in a row in impressive fashion.
Both programs are also currently rated among the top junior college programs in the country this season, as Eastern Arizona JC is currently ranked #16 nationally among the NJCAA Division-I standings, and Pima CC is currently ranked as the #6 overall team in the country among Division-II college programs. ACCAC D-I MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 7
Anesu Dehwe – Central Arizona – Dehwe was a rebound shy of a triple-double last week, scoring 22 points, collecting 9 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists in a 107-97 win over Arizona Christian JV.
ACCAC D-II MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 7
Davis Hester – Glendale – Hester scored 48 total points in a pair of wins for the Gauchos last week. He started the week by scoring 18 points in a win over Chandler-Gilbert, before pouring in 30 points in a win over PHH Prep.
