ACCAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week: 1/27

Gif 5-foot-10 freshman point guard Brandon Brown finished with a team-high 28 points and 4 assists for Phoenix College in Thursday night's exciting victory over previous undefeated Arizona Western JC. Brown is among the elite freshman prospects in the ACCAC this season.

The 2014-2015 junior college basketball season in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) is now in full swing.  Here are this week’s Players of the Week in men’s basketball in the conference . . .

ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Andre Chetverikoff, Arizona Western

Andre Chetverikoff led Arizona Western to a 1-1 record this past week averaging 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2 steals per game for the Matadors, including a game high 25 points in a 79-75 win at Central Arizona.  On the week, Andre shot 44% from the field and 80% from the free throw line.

ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Brandon Brown, Phoenix College

Brandon Brown secured his third ACCAC Player of the Week Award - leading the Bears to two victories this past week and averaging 25.5 points and 6.5 assists.  He shot 50% from the 3-point line and an impressive 92% from the free throw line.  On the season he is averaging 24 points and 6 assists per game.
