ACCAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week: 12/16

Gif 5-foot-10 freshman point guard Brandon Brown finished with a team-high 28 points and 4 assists for Phoenix College in Thursday night's exciting victory over previous undefeated Arizona Western JC. Brown is among the elite freshman prospects in the ACCAC this season.

The 2014-2015 junior college basketball season in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) is now in full swing.  Here are this week’s Players of the Week in men’s basketball in the conference . . .

ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Brandon Brown, Phoenix College

Brandon Brown led Phoenix College to two more wins last week, including a 41-point effort in a triple-overtime victory over Glendale, 128-124. Brown shot 48% from the field including 44% from the 3-point line and 80% from the free throw line for the Bears.  This is Brown's second Player of the Week in a row for the ACCAC.

ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Khari Holloway, Mesa

Khari Holloway averaged 20.5 points and 7.5 assists as Mesa won (2) ACCAC games last week.  For the week, Holloway shot 47% from the field, 34% from the 3-point line and went 10-for-10 on his free-throw attempts. He is currently 5th in the ACCAC in assists - averaging over 5.5 per game.
