The 2016-2017 junior college basketball season in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) is now underway, and in full swing. Here are this week’s Players of the Week in men’s basketball in the conference . . .
ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Brandon McGhee, Arizona Western
Brandon McGhee led Arizona Western to a split against two tough preseason tests - New Mexico Military and College of Southern Idaho. McGhee averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals, including a 28-point, 13-assist effort in a losing effort to CSI. For the week he shot 69% from the field to lead the Matadors.
ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Jacob Inclan, South Mountain
Jacob Inclan led South Mountain to 3 victories. In the Cougars' 98-64 win versus Hillcrest Prep, Inclan amassed 20 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, and 5 steals - an amazing effort. Overall he leads the ACCAC in rebounding - averaging 14 rebounds per game and also 5.8 steals per game.
