The 2025-2026 junior college basketball season is now in full swing through the early portion of the season in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC). With the season now beginning to take shape, here are the Basketball Players of the Week selections from Week 8 in the ACCAC. Arizona Western continues to lead the Division-I standings with a 10-5 overall record on the season, but they have lost their last (3) games. Arizona Western is currently ranked #21 nationally. Pima is rolling and remains undefeated at 11-0 - leading the Division-II Conference standings, and also currently ranked #8 nationally . . .
ACCAC D-I MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 8
Brayden Gant – Central Arizona College
Gant delivered a strong three-game week for the Vaqueros - averaging 21 points per game, while shooting 44.9% from the field. He helped lead CAC to wins over Dawson College and Northwest College, highlighted by a 30-point performance against Northwest. Gant also shot 41.7% from three and 93.3% at the free-throw line for the week.
ACCAC D-II MEN'S BASKETBALL CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - WEEK 8
Mason Hunt – Pima Community College
Hunt earned ACCAC Division-II Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors after a strong performance in Pima's conference win over Scottsdale Community College. He totaled 29 points, shooting 10-of-19 from the field (52.6%), while adding seven rebounds and two steals. This marks Hunt's second ACCAC D-II Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor.
