The 2018-2019 junior college basketball season is winding down as we are nearing the end to the season. Arizona Preps will be covering the season this year and will be bringing you coverage of the games, top performers and Players of the Week each week during the season.
Long-time highly successful head coach Jerry Carrillo and Cochise College have taken over first place in the division among Division-I programs in the ACCAC, and continue to hold on the conference lead with a 10-2 conference record. Cochise currently stands alone in first place by one game. Arizona Western JC is in second place, just behind Cochise, with a 9-3 conference record.
Chandler-Gilbert College Head Coach Steve Silsby and his staff continue to do an excellent job this season, and have their team in first place among Division-II programs in the conference this season. Chandler-Gilbert has posted a 9-3 conference record, while Scottsdale JC and Pima JC are in second place with an 8-4 conference record.
