Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College sophomores Matt O’Boyle (Sunrise Mountain HS) and Esteban Lopez (Cholla HS) signed their national letters of intent to four-year institutions on Tuesday at the West Campus.
O’Boyle, a guard/forward, signed to play at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. He played and started in 29 of the 31 games this season averaging 14.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He was selected Third Team All-ACCAC and Second Team All-Region I, Division-II and was named ACCAC Division-II Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 9-15.
Lopez, a center, signed to play at Hastings College (NAIA) in Hastings, NE. He played in 28 games; making 21 starts and averaged 4.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
