Higley High School's sharp-shooting 5-foot-10 senior point guard Noah Gloor has had an excellent high school career for himself. Since I caught my first glimpse of Gloor as an incoming freshman at a local exposure event, Gloor has consistently torched his competition around the state and abroad, and made himself into one of the best guard prospects in the state of Arizona's 2026 Class. After several strong seasons under focused and committed Head Coach Kenny Drake, Gloor enters his final senior season in a nice way, as one of the state's top guard prospects. Gloor has given a nice verbal commitment to Embry-Riddle University and Head Coach Ben Tucker and his staff.
Gloor will be a very nice addition to the Embry-Riddle program, as he has become one of my favorite guard prospects in the state, over the past several years. Last season, Gloor led his team to a 20-8 overall record, while Gloor established himself as one of the premier scorers in the state. Gloor poured in impressive numbers during his junior season, after a previous terrific sophomore season. Gloor has led the Higley program in scoring the past two seasons with almost identical numbers in both campaigns. Last season he put up 18.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals per/contest. As a sophomore he posted 18.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.5 steals per/game.
Gloor also turned in consistent top performances on the club circuit throughout the spring and summer, while traveling with his club program, the Arizona Gremlins, one of the top club programs in the state. On the club circuit, Gloor consistently proved he was ready for the next level. Gloor has faired really well against all competition - in state or abroad.
Gloor's ability to score from anywhere on the court, coupled with a pure shooting stroke and quick release, makes him a formidable offensive threat. He has a high basketball IQ and is fundamentally sound as a guar prospect. He has the ability to create shots for himself and his teammates, and his understanding of the game allows him to function as a floor general. As he continues to develop his ability to create off the dribble against faster, more agile defenders, Gloor is poised to transition smoothly into a full-time point guard role at the college level.
Gloor is set to have a big senior season, as he looks to lead a now younger but very talented Higley team this season, as they look to make another run at a 6A State Championship, and compete also for the Open Division State Championship. Congratulations to Gloor, his family and the Higley and Gremlins basketball programs on this nice accomplishment from our Arizona Preps' staff.
Arizona Preps Scouting Report: Gloor quickly became one of the state's top guard prospects at a young age, and he has had a very consistent high school career for himself. He is a steady guard prospect that is fundamentally sound with a high basketball IQ. He makes shots from anywhere on the floor with a pure shooting stroke with serious unlimited range on his shot, and has the understanding and feel for the game to make plays for himself and his teammates, as needed. Gloor can also be a floor general with the ball in his hands and simply needs to continue to focus on creating off the dribble for his teammates, against quicker and better defenders, as he matures and plays against better competition over time. Gloor has what it takes though to make an impact early during his college career, as a result of the level of confidence he plays with, combined with an advanced offensive skillset. An excellent sleeper guard prospect for the right college program.
