The junior college season is beginning to take shape now as we enter the winter season, and now have some games under our belt. Arizona Western (11-3, 4-0) and Eastern Arizona (10-4, 4-0) are at the top of the conference standings for Division-I programs - both tied for first place in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), as both programs are currently undefeated in conference play. Pima (8-0, 3-0) and Scottsdale JC (6-0, 2-0) both remain undefeated on the season and tied for first place among Division-II programs in the ACCAC.

Gifted 6-foot-7 sophomore wing Raysean Seamster of Eastern Arizona was selected as the ACCAC Division-I Conference Player of the Week recently, after scoring a season-high 30 points in the conference opener at Mesa JC, in which he went 12-for-16 from the field in the Gila Monsters’ win and was a perfect 3-for-3 from the three-point line. The sophomore from Portland, Oregon, also scored 19 points in the Gila Monsters’ opening game against Snow College, before finishing off the weekend with a double-double - scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in a win over Utah State Eastern.

Arizona Western's 6-foot-1 sophomore guard AJ Marmolejos has been terrific thus far this season for Head Coach Kyle Isaacs. Marmolejos earned his second consecutive Player of the Week recently after he scored 26 points in a win over Southern Nevada, and then scoring 30 points and going 5-for-6 from three in a win over Community Christian. The terrific sophomore guard shot 19-for-28 from the field in the two games.

Pima's talented 6-foot-6 sophomore Dillan Baker scored 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting in a conference win over Glendale JC, before scoring 21 points in a win over GCU Club. Baker went 5-for-13 from the three-point line in the two wins.

Chandler-Gilbert's 6-foot-8 freshman KJ Dunn earned D-II Player of the Week honors after scoring 15 points and leading Chandler-Gilbert to a huge win over Cochise College. Dunn also grabbed eight rebounds in the nice win.
