The state of Arizona continues to reel in top-rated basketball talent at an all-time level unlike anything ever seen before. Recently, when the exciting Pangos All-Amercian Camp took place in Los Angeles, CA, no one had realized that star, 6-foot-6, 180-pound rising senior 5-star wing prospect Marjon Beauchamp would be leaving the state of Washington to also move to Arizona, where he will now attend defending Grind Session National Champion Bella Vista Prep.
Bella Vista had a terrific season this past year - winning a national title on the Grind Session. But the program lost a lot to graduation, as many of the program's top prospects signed numerous Division-I scholarships. In an effort to retool and build the program again with top-rated national talent, Bella Vista received a nice gift recently when Marjon Beauchamp announced that he would be leaving Rainer Beach High School in Washington, and take his game and immense college recruitment with him to the state of Arizona.
Beauchamp is a gifted and talented wing prospect that is able to play several positions on the floor. A long and skilled athletic performer with excellent length of body and an ability to make plays almost at will with the basketball in his hands, Beauchamp is a big-time talent has many college programs in hot pursuit.
Currently, Beauchamp has a long list of offers from Arizona, Alabama, Georgetown, Florida State, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Cal Poly, Seattle and Montana. Many more schools will be looking to get involved soon, so look for many more offers to pour in for the skilled prospect.
Beauchamp immediately becomes one of the elite overall prospects in Arizona and heads a 2020 Class of prospects in the state that is already very talented. A state that historically has had 1 to 3 total 5-star prospects, now sports close to double-digit 5-star prospects in the state - an amazing an impressive fact for a state that has gone to another level over the past several years in it's basketball culture.
Beauchamp is the just the latest prospect to announce his move to Arizona, joining numerous other elite-level talents that have recently announced their decisions to play for local powerhouse prep programs.
According to the Bella Vista Prep program, there will be more big announcements in the near future, so it will be very interesting to see who will also be joining Beauchamp at the Scottsdale-based prep program.
I will continue to follow this story closely, and bring you any updates as they continue to develop.
