Scottsdale Junior College (25-7, 15-7) has been on fire since hiring Head Coach Mark Bunker almost (10) years ago, as Bunker has taken the program back to previous levels before him, when the program consistently won Division-II titles consistently. The program ha ow won back-2-back Region Championships in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), after defeating #1 seed Pima Junior College on Friday evening in the Region Championship game, held at Pima Junior College, 90-69. Scottsdale also defeated #3 seed Chandler-Gilbert Junior College last week in the semi-finals, 68-54, to advance to the championship game.

Scottsdale's Division-II Region Championship victory on Friday evening allows the program to return to the NJCAA National Tournament for the second year in a row - representing the ACCAC and Region I in the national tournament later this month (March 21-25) in Danville, Illinois.

This year's Scottsdale JC team was very talented and was led by the overall play of a group of top-rated sophomore prospects - 5-foot-10 sophomore guard Carson Kelly, 6-foot-6 sophomore forward Cameron Faas, 5-foot-10 sophomore guard Unisa Turay, 6-foot-6 sophomore forward Tyree Tyler, 6-foot-8 sophomore Isaiah Broady and 6-foot-3 sophomore guard Isaiah Floyd. 6-foot-7 freshman wing Tanner Poeschl also came up big for the Artichokes down the stretch, and will return next season for Bunker and his staff.

Carson Kelly, Cameron Faas, Unisa Turay and Tyree Tyler also each received All-ACCAC and All-Region honors as well for their play this season.

Congratulations to Head Coach Mark Bunker and his coaching staff, as well as the Scottsdale Junior College program on their tremendous success this season, again, and good luck to the program from our Arizona Preps' staff in this year's National Tournament.
