Gilbert Christian High School's new transfer, 6-foot-8 rising junior post Mitch Lightfoot is beginning to generate loads of division-I interest for himself, and this week he received two big scholarship offers for himself.  While already possessing offers, this week Lightfoot brought in offers from two high-major division-I programs.

Lightfoot received offers this week from the Arizona State Sun Devils, a member of the PAC-12 Conference, and Creighton University, a high major program in a mid-major conference.  Both programs have extended offers to the talented young prospect, who is beginning to generate a lot of interest.

Currently, Lightfoot has also received scholarship offers from the University of New Mexico, Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona and the University of Portland.

Lightfoot is a very nice talent with broad shoulders and a nice physical frame that should add weight very nicely over time.  In fact, Lightfoot will easily be able to add 20-30 pounds of muscle to his now thin frame over time – a fact that will take his game to a completely different level over the next 3 to 4 years.  He already possesses a strong feel for the game and a nice overall skillset, which allows him to make plays inside the post or from the perimeter, where he has developed a great deal over the past year.

He will continue to play with his club program his July, the Arizona Power 16U Black, and leads a talented group.

Lightfoot looks to be in no rush to make a college decision, and should go through the entire recruiting process.
