Anthony Ray's Recruiting Academy took place this Sunday on the campus of Sandra Day O'Connor High School in North Phoenix, and the first installment of this year's Academy was exciting on the first day of action. With several other tournaments taking place on the day, some of the state's top young prospects gathered together to work hard and improve their basketball skills, and overall fundamental approach ot the game.
The players in attendance received quality instruction from Arizona Preps' senior editor and 19-year NCAA certified basketball scout Anthony Ray, and the Arizona Preps staff, while also having a rare opportunity to play with some pro-athletes also in attendance and participation. Ray instructed this weekend's participants and also shared valuable recruiting information to the players in attendance - sharing stories of past players and also intangibles that will help players get recruited.
The Basketball Academy will consist of (3) 8-week sessions throughout the year, and will focus on different aspects of the recruiting and playiong process each session. This week's focus was "paying attention to detail." Ray and his staff taught the importance of paying attention to detail, and what that means to life - on and off the basketball court.

DATES: October 19th (Anthony Ray’s Recruiting Academy will be twice per month annually) – (3) Different 8 Week Sessions
TIMES: Sunday, 12PM to 3PM
LOCATION: Sandra Day O’Connor High School
FORMAT: Individual Campers. Limited to 50 Campers per session.
AGES: Boys and Girls Ages 10 to 17 – Two different age groups (10U – 13U & 14U – 17U)
