Report On 2014 Arizona Preps Fall Showcase

The 16th annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase was held Saturday, October 25th at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix under the direction of Anthony Ray of Arizona Preps.  Here is a report on the event.

Other Prospects To Consider: (*indicates highest consideration for this category)

6’7 PF/C Nick Allen of Willow Canyon HS 2015

Hard-working, can dribble operate on the block, ok driver, solid rebounder.

6’5 PF Christian Anigwe of Desert Vista HS 2017

Fairly athletic, thin, has a hesitation drive, decent floater, capable rebounder.

6’4 SF Randy Bronner of Pinnacle HS 2016

Fairly athletic, ok ball handler, finishes in transition, solid driver, can defend some.

5’8 PG Reece Brooks of Elite 1 Academy Prep 2015

Athletic, can handle, pulls up half court, has a nice hesitation move.

*6’0 PG/SG JJ Catchings of Phase 1 Academy Prep

Athletic, handles and passes it fairly well, effective in transition-does attack, pulls up well half court, fairly good shooter with three-point range.

*5’11 PG Amir Chukwuemeka of McClintock HS 2016

Good athlete, has some burst, handles and passes it well, does attack in transition and can finish (and has a floater), can pull up half court, capable driver.

5’10 PG Keeshaun Cobb of Millenium HS 2017

Fairly good athlete, handles it, good passer, can pull up in transition and half court, ok first step, decent floater shot, needs more feel.

6’6 SF Trevin Crider of Mountain View HS 2015

Average athlete, can run, is aggressive, decent ball handler, passes fairly well, can pull up half court, ok shooter, dribble operates on the block a little, ok rebounder.

6’2 PG/SG Tim Dana of Flagstaff HS 2017

Fair athlete, runs ok, handles and passes it fairly well, ok shooter with 3 range, has a nice floater.

6’4 SF Sebuabe Dzobo of Mountain Ridge HS 2015

Fairly athletic, ok handler, can pull up half court, good driver, ok rebounder.

6’5 SF/PF George Faull of Flagstaff HS 2017

Average athlete, can handle it, has a floater drive, capable rebounder.

 5’10 PG Treyvon McCray of Copper Canyon HS 2017

Athletic-has burst, can handle and pass, ok in transition, can defend some.

5’11 Riley McKinis of Chandler HS 2015

Athletic, handles it, pulls up half court, shoots it ok with 3 range, has a nice hesitation move.

6’4 SG Avonte Nelms of Arcadia HS 2017

Ok athlete, can finish, can handle it and finish in transition, pulls up half court, shoots it fairly well with 3-point range.

6’5 SF Connor Nichols of Arcadia HS 2015

Fair athlete, ok ball handler, passes it fairly well, solid in transition-makes plays (can finish), drives fairly well, shoots it ok with 3 range.

6’5 SF Jared Rodriguez of Mountain Ridge HS 2017

Decent athlete, can run, thin, ok ball handler, pulls up fairly well half court.

6’5 SF Caleb Simmons of Desert Vista HS 2017

Fairly athletic-can run, posts up a little, shoots it ok with 3-point range.

6’0 PG/SG Malik Simmons of Mountain Pointe HS 2016

Ok athlete, can handle, fairly good passer, solid in transition-can pull up, does see the floor, ok driver, penetrates effectively, ok first step.

*6’1 SG/PG Trenton Washington of Centennial HS 2018

Fairly good athlete-runs well, handles it, makes plays in transition, pulls up half court.
