Few Arizona Prospects Represent In Pangos

The amazing 15th Annual Pangos All-American Camp kicked off tonight at Cerritos College in Norwalk, CA.  This year's exciting camp will be held on Friday through Sunday, June 2 - 4th, and will include many of the nation's elite basketball prospects.

While this camp is widely known as one of the most acclaimed basketball camps in the country, it has not been a place where Arizona's best talent have been widely permitted to attend.  While this event is an excellent opportunity for Arizona's top prospects to gain national attention, for whatever reason, they have not shown up at the camp annually - whether on their own cognisence or for another reason.  Either way, those that do participate gain serious recruiting attention, if they perform.

In the past, such top Arizona prospects as Sammy Thompkins (signed with Boston College), Michael Humphrey (Stanford), Dorian Pickens (Stanford), Payton Dastrup (BYU), Connor MacDougall (New Mexico), Casey Benson (Grand Canyon via University of Oregon) and Andre Adams (signed with Arizona State), just to name a few, flourished in the camp and saw their college recruitment soar, as a result.

This weekend, 6-foot-7 junior wing Tevian Jones (Chandler HS-pictured), 6-foot-2 sophomore guard Trent Brown (Pinnacle HS), 6-foot-5 sophomore Walter Talley (Tri-City Christian HS) and Hillcrest Prep Academy 6-foot-5 freshman wing Kyree Walker will represent the state of Arizona in the camp.

Kyree Walker recently transferred to the state of Arizona and landed at Hillcrest Prep.  Walker is among the top 5 prospects in America's 2020 class, and will be under the microscope this weekend at Pangos. Walker is now the highest rated prospect in the state of Arizona, a state that has several nationally ranked prospects now.

Tevian Jones is coming off an excellent showing this spring with his Cal Supreme (CA) club program that competed on the Nike EYBL circuit.  Jones could benefit a great deal in his college recruitment with strong play this weekend.

Here is this weekend's camp schedule . . .
