The 21st Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase, Arizona’s original showcase basketball event, will be held in October and will be featuring a new format, as our staff will introduce the Arizona Preps Fall Showcase Top 20 Invitational. The NEW format of the annual event will invite (20) of the state's top high school varsity teams to participate in two games on Saturday, October 26th, 2019. The event again will be making it's return to the very nice venue - Inspire Courts, located at 1090 North Fiesta Blvd, Gilbert, Arizona 85233.
As part of the event, for the coaching staffs of the invited teams, the event will also be hosting the Arizona Preps Coaches Clinic (for high school coaches only) as part of the Showcase. The Clinic will take place in the morning before the start of the event. The Clinic will feature some of the top college coaches in the West, at different levels and in different capacity's.
Arizona Preps is very proud to annonce that our featured guest speaker for this year's Coach's Clinic will be former NBA star, Grand Canyon University Head Coach Dan Majerle. Majerle is one of the hottest coaches in America, as he has quickly built the Grand Canyon basketball program into a national contender and a favorite to win this year's WAC Conference title. Coach Majerle will discuss what it takes to build a winning program at this year's clinic. Dan Majerle's name is synonymous with basketball in the state of Arizona, at all levels, and he is also one of the state's best businessmen - owning numerous Majerle Restaurant locations in the valley.
Coach Majerle will also be joined by new GCU Associate Head Coach Marvin Menzies. Menzies is widely recognized as one of the nation's best recruiters of talent, and he will speak at this year's clinic about what college coaches look for in recruitable student-athletes. After a long illustrious career in college coaching and years of success, Mensey recently spent several seasons leading the UNLV program, after building a terrific program at New Mexico State that reached numerous NCAA Tournaments. Menzies also coached and developed NBA Champion Pascal Saiakam at New Mexico State.
