There is always a shortage of true low-post talent in the country that can make an impact or a difference at the Division-I level, so when one is available it becomes very intriguing for college programs. One nice post talent that has emerged this prep season has been Dream City Christian Prep's 6-foot-11, 210-pound junior post talent Birima Seck. Seck has been consistent in his approach all season long on the Grind Session for Dream City Christian, and is beginning to draw loads of division-I interest as a result.
Seck is still developing a great deal as a college prospect, as he is still very young and a member of the 2022 Class, but he has made excellent strides quickly this season. Seck is an aggressive, defensive-minded post player that competes hard on both ends of the floor, and will do absolutely what it takes to help his team win ball games - a nice attribute for any player in today's game. He runs the floor hard and finishes, and has a good overall skill level that allows him to play inside and out.
Currently, this young man has offers for himself from only two different Division-I programs, as the COVID-19 pandemic has really hurt his exposure to college programs that want to see him play in person. Thus far, Seck has received offers from South Florida and Arizona State. The Arizona State basketball staff jumped on Seck immediately after he arrived to Arizona, and have been on him hard.
There has been some talk that Seck could consider leaving school early for college next fall, but it has not been confirmed yet, as Seck is mulling over his options for college still, and it is very early still for him in the recruiting process.
Seck is definitely one prospect that college programs need to consider and begin working hard, as he is a rare find among post prospects, as he is humble, works hard and has tremendous upside as a player. His best years are well ahead of him.
