Reggie Fox Takes the Helm at Bella Vista Basketball, Coach Kyle Weaver to Develop His Third Prep Program
PHOENIX, June 28, 2019 – Bella Vista College Prep has named Reggie Fox to succeed Kyle Weaver as the Director of men’s basketball and Head Coach of the Bella Vista College Prep Boy’s National Team. Fox brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to Bella Vista, as the program looks to continue to build on a remarkable season last year that culminated with hoisting the trophy at the 2019 Chick-Fil-A National Division Championship, as well earning the title of
Grind Session World Champions.
“After meeting with Kyle Weaver and Bella Vista leadership, I found this to be a great opportunity to continue developing and helping students get opportunities to go to college,” Fox said. “Stressing integrity and academics was a prerequisite for us working together and I have found that Bella Vista Prep excels in that area. We have a core of new kids coming and I look forward to us being competitive right away.”
Fox played Division-I collegiate basketball where he helped his team earn several bids to the NCAA tournament, including a trip to the Sweet Sixteen with the University of Wyoming. He has played professional basketball both internationally and domestically for more than (11) years and has over a decade of coaching experience, developing college and professional
players.
“I feel fortunate to be able to add such a qualified coach as Reggie Fox at Bella Vista,” said Don Brown, Director at Bella Vista College Prep. “I’m excited about the possibilities such a wealth of experience and coaching knowledge will bring to our program and its continued
development.”
After developing Bella Vista’s program into a nationally recognized basketball powerhouse in just two short years, former head coach Kyle Weaver is taking on a new challenge.
“I love this program and it was a difficult decision for me to make,” Weaver said. “I look forward to watching Bella Vista’s program continue to grow, while stepping into a position that allows me to work closely with my church and it’s school.”
Brown and Weaver have worked closely together over the past two years developing a men’s basketball program that could contend at the national level, while stressing the importance of integrity and academics.
“We succeeded in accomplishing that goal, winning The Chick-Fil-A National Division Championship and The Grind Session World Championship this past school year -- in addition to placing all (8) program seniors with full-ride collegiate basketball scholarships,” Brown said. “It is hard to see Kyle go after we achieved so much together, but I am excited to see where Reggie takes the program” he added.
“Kyle and I have a wonderful working relationship and mutual respect for each other. This change for Kyle runs deeper than basketball and I support him in his next chapter.
Fox is set to take the helm of a team that prides itself on winning on the court as much as it does in the classroom.
