The Arizona Magic Elite 17U girls traveled over the weekend to the state of Oregon to participate in the Oregon Trail Classic, an NCAA certified event that was held during the July evaluation period. The team participated in the top division of the event and finished with a 3-2 overall record in the tournament and received loads of exposure from college coaches.
The team received top performances from Millennium High School gifted junior guard Raina Perez, Valley Vista HS junior guard Jordenn Reible, 5-foot-11 senior forward Sami Oliver of Valley Christian HS (CA) and rising freshman phenom Rayah Craig, who looks to be head to Valley Vista HS this fall.
Mountain Pointe HS junior forward Tilasha Okey and 5-foot-8 senior guard/forward Jada Willingham provided scoring depth for the team, while 6-foot rising senior Lauren Ames and 6-foot-2 rising junior post Eli Ozgur both provided strong rebounding efforts for this Magic group.
The team will now travel to San Diego, CA to participate in another event before heading back to Arizona.
We will keep you posted on any recruiting updates from this summer's events.
