Taylor Made Prep's 6-foot-8 prep forward Ajang Aguek really helped himself over the past year. After graduating from Ironwood High School in 2018, Aguek performed very well throughout the spring and summer. After a post-graduate season @ Taylor Made Prep, and another strong performance this spring, Aguek recently received an offer and decided to commit to a local Big Sky program.
In a very nice pick-up for Head Coach Jack Murphy and his staff, Northern Arizona received a commitment from Aguek this weekend, after Aguek decided to stay home and play for the Lumberjacks. Aguek will be one of the best signings by Murphy and his staff, as the developing and athletic wing prospect was gaining loads of attention from numerous college programs, as a result of his tremendous length, athleticism and tremendous motor.
Aguek played this spring for Team Harden and last spring and summer for The Factory.
Taylor Made Prep is a prep basketball program located in the West Valley and led by head coach Jamal Edwards.
Congratulations to Aguek on this tremendous accomplishment, which only came from his serious commitment to the game, his craft and absolute hard work.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Aguek is a very intriguing prospect with excellent length of body and a lot of true-upside to his frame. He is still growing a great deal physically and has excellent potential over time. He likes to play on the perimeter, where he is still developing a great deal. Can score inside and out, but is at his best now from around the basket, until he becomes more consistent from longer ranges on his shot. A very good slasher. A very active defender and rebounder, that uses his lengthy frame to make plays, and has an excellent overall motor on both ends of the floor. Extremely active. A good shotblocker. Runs the floor very well and is a strong finisher. A big-time sleeper with loads of potential for the future. With continued hard work, he should develop nicely over the next few years.
