After a big announcement recently by former Desert Vista High School's DJ Spencer to transfer recently to Millennium High School, now Millennium has received a huge transfer, as former Williams Field High School 6-foot-5, 180-pound rising sophomore superstar Adan Diggs has now announced his decision to transfer to Millennium - giving the West Valley-based program two tremendous transfers for next high school season. Millennium HS Head Coach Ty Amundsen and his very experienced coaching staff have been so close to winning an Open Division State Championship in the past, and should have won the elusive title two seasons ago. Now they are the clear favorite, alongside Sunnyslope High School, to win it all next high school season.

Diggs has rapidly ascended to become one of the nation’s premier basketball talents. Recognized as a top-10 national prospect in the Class of 2028 by ESPN, Diggs is projected to become an NBA prospect over time. His past decision to attend Williams Field High School, rather than a prominent prep school, surprised many and immediately elevated the program’s profile. Diggs was the first star freshman to announce his decision last spring, and since, he has become a household name in the state of Arizona. Now, after a rocky campaign at Williams Field, Diggs is on the move to Millennium - a program that previously was in the lead to land Diggs out of middle school, as Diggs lives near the school.

In his debut high school season, Diggs averaged 17 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, while leading Williams Field to an 18-10 record and a berth in the Open Division State Playoffs, where his team lost in the second round. His strong performance last season earned him an amazing MaxPreps Freshman All-American First Team selection.

Diggs’s game is characterized by a versatile offensive arsenal, including a smooth shooting stroke and explosive athleticism. His ability to score from all three levels and facilitate plays for teammates sets him apart as a dynamic performer.

Diggs' athletic talent is very unique, especially for such a young prospect. As a result, he has attracted attention from numerous high-major Division-I programs early in the recruiting process. Diggs has already landed scholarship offers from such schools as Arizona State, Cal, Creighton, LSU, Maryland, Oregon, UMass, Washington and West Virginia. Additionally, Diggs is navigating the evolving landscape of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, with guidance from his support team to manage potential deals responsibly.

This spring and summer, Diggs is playing for the Under Armour-heavily sponsored All In Elite (CA) club program, organized by national basketball aficionado Ryan Silver. Competing on this elite circuit has provided Diggs with invaluable experience against top-tier talent - further enhancing his already impressive resume. As Diggs continues to develop his game and grow as a player, he stands poised to become one of the most significant figures in Arizona high school basketball history. His combination of skill and work ethic suggests a promising future, potentially extending to collegiate stardom and beyond.

Diggs will now team up with superstar rising senior guard Cameron Holmes and rising junior forward DJ Spencer to give Millennium one of the state's elite trios, and also one of the best trio of prospects in the country. This team will be very fun to watch next season, and I look forward to seeing them together in this month's exciting Section 7 event, which will certainly be one of the very featured teams in the event this summer.

Arizona Preps Scouting Report: Adan Diggs is highly regarded among the nation's top scouting services as one of the top 2028 prospects in the land. Diggs has dominated his competition for years now, regardless of the level he has played against, and is on pace to become a household name among Arizona basketball enthusiasts and also college coaches very soon. Diggs is an ultra-athletic prospect with an advanced feel for the game at such an early age. He is a highlight reel dunker, similar to NBA star Jalen Green (NBA-Rockets). He has a high skill level that allows him to score the basketball at a high rate. He has a nice shooting stroke with range from the perimeter, and also has developed a very good mid-range game for himself as well. He is very difficult to defend for opposing defenders, as he plays with a love for the game and also plays with excellent energy and a motor, that allows him to make plays at a high rate on the court. A very confident performer that expects the best from himself and his teammates, and has no fear on the court. A future NBA-level talent.
