With the NCAA Early Signing Period beginning next week, many of the top prospects in Arizona's 2024 Class continue to give early commitments and drop off the recruiting board. This week and last week, three more of Arizona's elite prospects in the class gave big verbal pledges, as Canyon International Academy's 6-foot-8 senior forward Amier Ali (Arizona State commit), AZ Compass Prep's 6-foot-8 senior forward Sammy Yeaney (Arizona State commit) and PHH Prep OTE Elite 6-foot-5 senior wing Carmelo Adkins (West Virginia commit) each gave commitments to high-major Division-I programs.

The biggest winner of these three commitment is Head Coach Bob Hurley and the Arizona State Sun Devils, as they reeled two of the three commitments from these three elite prospects. The biggest announcement came from Yeaney on Friday afternoon, as he announced his decision live on 247 Sports in front of his family, teammates and school students and staff on his school's campus. After recently narrowing down his list of college programs to (5) different schools, Yeaney would announce his decision to sign with the Arizona State Sun Devils - giving Head Coach Bob Hurley and his coaching staff their second big commitment from the Arizona prep school ranks in two weeks.

Yeaney joins Canyon International Academy's gifted 6-foot-8 senior forward Amier Ali, who recently also gave a big commitment to the Sun Devils. Ali is currently rated as the #46 overall prospect in America's 2024 Class by ESPN, while Yeaney is currently ranked as the #91 ranked 2024 prospect nationally by ESPN. Both Top 100 prospects will help to make a very nice class of prospects for the Sun Devils, who have began to work hard recruiting the state of Arizona and have turned up their recruiting of the state's top overall prospects.

Also giving a big commitment this week was PHH Prep OTE Elite 6-foot-5 senior wing Carmelo Adkins. While not currently ranked among the nation's Top 100 prospects, Adkins is a Top 100-caliber prospect. Adkins has given a big commitment to the University of West Virginia, after receiving the offer in September, and then taking an official recruiting visit to the program in October. This is a big commitment for Adkins, who will continue to play for the PHH Prep program on the OTE Elite circuit this season.

Each of these prospects will look to officially sign their National Letter of Intents next week during the NCAA Early Signing period, which runs from November 8th through the 15th. Each of these future signings continues to prove the level of basketball talent that there is in the state of Arizona currently.
