Tribe Athletics has extended their reach to new territories with the goal to provide a top notch exposure platform to Indigenous Student-Athletes across North America. This Spring has been eventful, as they host the Native American Midwest Tournament of Champions in Wichita, Kansas.
Pulling the strings and calling the shots behind the scenes are the Godfathers of Native American Basketball, Directors Jon Yarrow Jr. and Cameron Smith. Yarrow and Smith are very instrumental in helping hundreds of Indigenous Student-Athletes gain exposure to college scouts and coaches since 2018. Their events continue to evolve as more NCAA Certified Scouts and College Coaches are getting involved in scouting and recruiting Indigenous Student Athletes.
I was able to interview Veteran NCAA Basketball Scout Anthony Ray who shared his expert assessment of the Tribe Athletics Platform.
“Jon and Cam are doing a phenomenal job in making their exposure series a one-stop shop for college coaches, scouts and recruiters to see the best Native American Basketball Talent in North America. Their exposure series is more than just playing in tournaments. The Tribe Athletics Exposure Series are events that matter, since the athletes participating are playing in front of the right people to gain maximum exposure to assist in furthering their college recruitment,” said Anthony Ray.
