One of the top overall prospects in Arizona's young 2023 Class is Centennial High School's 6-foot-3 rising sophomore guard Emery Young. Young has has excellent work ethic and loves the game, and has really developed over the years as a result. After a good freshman season for himself, where he broke out during the season and had numerous strong performances to build on for his future, Young is now looking to build on his early success and continue to develop into the player and college prospect that he wants to become.
Young leads a young and talented group of student-athletes at Centennial HS that are also looking to build on their program's success from last season, but, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team has had very little opportunity to prepare for their up-coming season.
Arizona Preps' reporter Addisen Stinnett caught up with Young, during his all-star selection performance in this week's Southwest Basketball Camp @ the Arizona Sports Complex Training Center in North Phoenix - asking him questions about his experience throughout the COVID layoff.
