Tribe Athletics continues to assemble the top boys talent in Indian Country. The best part about this event is the exposure that it provides for Indigenous student-athletes. There is no other platform in the world that provides this type of exposure. Directors Jon Yarrow Jr. and Cameron Smith did a fantastic job assembling a top media team of Regional and National videographers, photographers, NCAA scouting services and college coaches. Here are some of the best kept secret prospects I observed ...
Thomas Tangle Unconquered 2022 6-6 Shooting Guard
Tangle (pictured) is the best prospect in the gym, as he wowed the crowd and scouts in attendance with his impressive playmaking ability. He went coast to coast from snagging a rebound above the rim to a monstrous poster dunk on an opponent on the other end. His play was so exciting that it caught the attention of myself and Arizona Preps' scout Chris Hurst. The staff at Texas Tech have added Tangle to their recruiting board. Despite committing to Mississippi Gulf Coast College, Tangle proved to be a high major talent. Remember the name Thomas Tangle!
AJ Seumanu Salt River Ba’ag 2024 6-3 Wing
Seumanu has broken through as a prospect to be reckoned with. He is tough as nails as he has a fantastic motor on both ends of the floor. Seumanu utilizes his strength and size to enforce his will on offense as he can finish through contact at the rim, dish dimes to open teammates or light it up from long range. He will be a fantastic pickup for a low-major as he has a nice skillset and his stock will blow through the roof once he adds to his vertical leap.
Chanon Frye Unconquered 2023 6-5 Combo Guard
Frye has a solid platform as he has a good frame and athletic ability. A crafty three-level scorer, Frye looks to utilize his skill set to attack his opponents. He has good leaping ability and can defend at a high level. A solid low-major plus prospect with solid upside.
Deng Deng Northern Thunder 2024 6-5 Forward
Deng is a solid wing who plays above the rim. He has a quick first step to blow past defenders and finishes hard at the rim. Deng is a game changer as he utilizes his athleticism and leaping ability to hunt down opponents by making steals or blocking shots protecting the rim. A fantastic sleeper prospect with mid-major potential.
Aiden Logan FMD 2023 6-3 Power Forward
Logan is a solid small college prospect power forward. He rebounds incredibly well for his size and knows how to use his body to back down defenders and score in the low post. Logan has a smooth mid range and his offensive skill set is potent to unsuspecting opponents.
Elijah Martin Phx Hotboyz 2023 6-1 Guard
Martin is an excellent small college guard with good scoring ability from all three levels. His game grew on me as it is fluid and smooth. Martin has a good motor on both ends of the floor, and utilizes his cat-like reflexes to snag steals to convert into transition scoring opportunities.
