Bella Vista Prep is quickly building a very strong program in the Northeast Valley, and many of their prospects this season are raising eyebrows. After previously winning a National Championship years ago, the Bella Vista program has had many changes in leadership positions, as the program is now fully under the watchful eyes of Director of Operations, Matt Gordon. Bella Vista Prep recently merged their program with Canyon International Academy (CIA), and it has already been a huge success for their program, as the program has added a lot from last season, and now has a top-rated national program, known as CIA-Bella Vista Prep.

CIA-Bella Vista Prep is now loaded with numerous high level prospects throughout their program, and one of these new prospects for the program, had a very big weekend for himself at the recent Pangos All-West Frosh / Soph Camp held @ McBride High School in Los Angeles, CA. 6-foot-8 sophomore wing Jalen White has been on a tear this fall, and is one prospect definitely on the rise now in his college recruitment, after earning a Most Valuable Player selection recently for the Top 30 Cream of the Crop All-Star Game for the Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp. Recently, White was also regarded highly for his performance at a recent basketball exposure event organized by NBA legend John Lucas. White has been on a tear as of late, and it should begin to pay nice dividends for him in his college recruitment, as a result.

Last season, White, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, spent a year at AZ Compass Prep, before changing locations this season for Bella Vista Prep. White also reclassified grades recently - leaving the 2026 Class for the 2027 Class, which has already benefited him a great deal and will continue to pay off for him over time. It has already paid nice dividends for him, as he looked very impressive in his performance at the recent Pangos All-West Frosh / Soph Camp. In the event, White looked very big, strong and athletic in his ability finish strong at the rim, around and over defenders. White is a bigger wing prospect with broad shoulders and a long wingspan, combined with very good athleticism, which he shows off in the open floor as a finisher. He thrives in the open floor and is an excellent slasher as well. White also showed a good ability to make shots from the perimeter with range. His offensive repertoire was on full display in the camp.

White's performance throughout the event earned him a Top 30 All-Star Game nomination, but he did not stop there, as he went to another level in the all-star game and earned the All-Star Game MVP award, as a result of his strong play in the final game.

White has yet to receive his first Division-I offer I believe, but that should and will soon change, as this young man is a tremendous athletic talent with size and athleticism, and a nice overall skillset that will only improve over time. White will be recognized now as one of the elite prospects in America's 2027 Class.

I will continue to follow White as a player and college prospect, and look to bring you any recruiting updates regarding his college recruitment over time.
