In the vibrant basketball landscape of Arizona, Millennium High School's 6-foot-5, 195-pound junior guard Cameron Holmes is blessed with elite physical tools. Holmes has become a household name across the state and is now turning heads around the country.
This past season, Holmes led Millennium High School to a 20-8 overall record in Arizona’s top 6A Division. Behind Holmes’ versatile and consistent play, Millennium advanced all the way to the semifinals of the Open Division State Playoffs - reaching the Final Four before falling in a narrow 58-53 loss to Sunnyslope High School. But the result of that game didn’t overshadow what Holmes accomplished throughout the season, or what lies ahead.
While averaging 20.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game, Holmes proved he’s not just a scorer, but rather a complete player. Whether slashing to the basket, knocking down jumpers or facilitating for teammates, Holmes plays with a polish and poise rarely seen among underclassmen. A relentless competitor and gym rat, Holmes is the emotional and vocal leader of a Millennium team that has become one of the elite programs in the state. His high motor, competitive edge, and ability to defend multiple positions have made him a cornerstone of Millennium’s culture and success.
Nationally, Holmes is considered one of the top overall prospects in America’s 2026 class. His recruitment reflects that elite status. Holmes has already received offers from a long list of high-major programs, including Arizona, Arizona State, Dayton, Georgetown, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Portland State, TCU, Utah State, Washington State and UCLA.
With the clock ticking toward a college decision, Holmes has a major choice to make over the next (6) months — one that college coaches and fans across the country are eagerly awaiting.
Holmes was one of the top overall performers from this weekend's Nike EYBL Session I event held in Arizona. While playing for a very talented AZ Unity 17U Nike EYBL club team, Holmes will look to have a big spring and summer and compete hard for a Peach Jam National Championship this club season.
As Holmes continues to develop and elevate his game, his potential is limitless. He has the physical gifts, the skill-set, and, most importantly, the mindset to become a national star at the college level and beyond. One thing is certain: Cameron Holmes is no longer just Arizona’s best-kept secret — he’s a national name on the rise. And his journey is just beginning.
