One college basketball program that is quickly creating major national buzz on the recruiting trail is the University of West Virginia, as the Mountaineers have assembled what many analysts consider one of the Top 10 recruiting classes in America. What makes the recruiting haul even more intriguing is how heavily it has been dominated by members of the powerhouse CIA-Bella Vista Prep basketball program, which recently captured the Nike EYBL Scholastic National Championship and established itself as one of the premier prep programs in America.
West Virginia first made headlines when the program secured the commitment of highly regarded prospect Aliou Dioum, one of the standout international talents connected to the Bella Vista Prep program and part of the growing pipeline of elite players that has helped transform the Arizona prep basketball landscape. Then came perhaps the biggest addition of all when the Mountaineers announced the signing of superstar point guard Miles Sadler from Bella Vista Prep.
Sadler, a 5-foot-10 senior point guard, is currently rated as a four-star prospect nationally, although many evaluators believe he should be considered a five-star talent based on his production, leadership, toughness, and ability to dominate against elite national competition. Widely regarded as one of the best point guard prospects in America, Sadler put together a historic season while leading Bella Vista Prep to the Nike EYBL Scholastic National Championship. Sadler elevated his national stock tremendously this season and cemented himself as one of the nation’s premier floor generals after being named the Most Valuable Player of the EYBL Scholastic National Championship tournament. His leadership, elite playmaking ability, scoring instincts, toughness, and confidence were instrumental in Bella Vista Prep capturing the national title and finishing the season as the top prep program in the country.
West Virginia also recently announced the signing of Bella Vista Prep's 7-foot-1, 230-pound senior post Amadou Seini. Seini was an instrumental force for Bella Vista all season, as he helped lead the program to a national hampionship, as a rsult of his ability to rebound, block and change shots and finish strong around the rim. Seini has a bright future ahead of him and his addition to an already strong recruiting class is big for West Virginia, as he was one of the nation's top unsigned prospects in the 2026 Class.
West Virginia also recently added NCAA Georgia Tech transfer, 6-foot-10, 240-pound freshman transfer Mouhamed Sylla, another top-rated former Bella Vista product. Sylla is another nice talent that should play immediately for West Virginia next season, and add serious front court depth.
A major figure behind Bella Vista Prep’s rise and the influx of elite international talent into the program has been Mike George, an influential NBA agent with strong ties throughout basketball circles both nationally and internationally. George has played a significant role in helping bring high-level talent from Canada into the Bella Vista Prep program, helping transform the school into a national powerhouse loaded with elite Division-I prospects.
The impact of Bella Vista Prep on Arizona basketball continues to grow rapidly, as the program has now become one of the premier destinations in America for elite-level talent and a pipeline for major college basketball programs. With the addition of players like Dioum, Sadler, Seini and Sylla, West Virginia’s recruiting class now has tremendous upside, size and winning pedigree. The Mountaineers have quietly assembled one of the more exciting young cores in college basketball.
Look for West Virginia to make a significant impact nationally next season, as this Bella Vista Prep-driven recruiting class could quickly change the direction of the Mountaineers basketball program moving forward.
