The last time Pima Junior College and Glendale Junior College faced off with one another was for the Division-II Championship at the end of the 2019 season, and Glendale would win the title. Horizon High School (4-1) is off to an excellent start this high school season, and they did just that on Monday evening on the road at Central High School (1-2), as they got off to an excellent start in the game and would not look back in the contest. Hamilton High School is always well-coached and prepared for every game, under the strong gamesmanship and leadership of Head Coach Doug Harris (pictured left). After year’s without a men’s and women’s junior college basketball program, and after many years of success in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) and nationally, Yavapai Junior College has announced their return to men’s and women’s junior college basketball during the 2022-2023 junior college season. The program, which was once heralded among the top junior college programs in the country, discontinued their basketball programs in 2011, and have not competed since.
