Phoenix College (14-6, 8-4) is playing their best basketball of the season, and they proved it on Saturday evening in a big road win over Glendale Junior College – 90-68.  The match-up was an exciting one, as Glendale had won their last 4 games in a row on the season, including a win this week over Pima Junior College.  The two teams would face off in a preview of what could become the championship game at season’s end for the Division-II title. Queen Creek High School’s athletically gifted 6-foot-5 senior forward Parker Anderson is quickly becoming one of the better unsigned recruiting targets in Arizona’s loaded 2014 class.  While there are still many unsigned prospects in the class, Anderson is beginning to pick up recruiting steam for himself with numerous college programs. Westwind Prep Academy’s superb 6-foot-4, 180-pound senior guard prospect Lyrik Shreiner completed shocked the state of Arizona and now the country this past weekend when he poured in an Arizona high school basketball state scoring record of 65 points.  The scoring outburst came this Saturday afternoon in a 133-53 blowout victory over The Orme School.  What was most impressive in the scoring outburst was Shreiner’s efficiency, as he connected on 26 of 27 shots in the game – an unreal and completely efficient performance.  Shreiner’s scoring performance broke the state scoring record set by former McClintock HS graduate and current University…
