The Arizona Preps Diamond Discovery event returns to the state of Arizona, after the event first was introduced in 2000, and was in operation until 2010. The Arizona Preps' staff has decided to bring this event back to the state, especially now at a time when the state specially needs it. Due to the growing COVID pandemic, the majority of Arizona's best basketball talent has gone unnoticed by college coaches, scouts and media.
The Diamond Discovery event is designed to help our staff discover Arizona's untapped talent, in an attempt to give exposure to all interested prospects. This event is also being introduced to help our staff build and develop our NEW Arizona Preps' Player Rankings for each class of prospects (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026), which will be released by our staff in early January, and will be posted and published on the Arizona Preps' website. These player rankings will be posted and updated throughout the year by our staff, based on individual performance.
The Diamond Discovery event will be held over (3) days to provide a comprehensive view for our staff of the top middle school, high school boys and high school girls in the state. There will be (3) separate days for each classification of student-athlete. Each participant will be featured and participate in two games on their scheduled event date.
The Arizona Preps Diamond Discovery will be held on Friday, December 18th, 2020 for Middle School - Saturday, December 19th for High School Boys - Sunday, December 20th for High School Girls. The event will be held @ Dream City Christian Prep each of the (3) days - located @ 21000 North 75th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona 85308.
